Another really nice preset Rick!

Sounds great without the OD off. But it about blew my ears out when I kicked it on and it sounded very trebely. So I turned down the level to about 10 oclock, and set high, mid, & low to about noon. That worked better for me.

Rick - you've really got an ear for Blackface amps. A few days ago I saved your Super Reverb preset, and this one's a keeper too. I'm using a '62 Reissue Strat w/ Amer Std. pickups and a lot of this stuff has to do with the guitar being used. I find the clean tone just a bit too warm and smooth for a Deluxe but not by much. The sine tremelo, the reverb and delay settings are all FANTASTIC. I'm stealing those for other presets! I'm not a big fan of Overdrive, I'm still trying to dial out the midrange that I find too heavy-handed, but I suppose that's why it's so good at jumping out in the mix. I prefer to get my dirt by upping the amp gain, but that's me. I will say the OD is too loud though, if one is employing it to switch to from clean for a solo. Nice nice tones, my man - Fender needs to hire you :)

Thanks!! Wish they would. Our band is on Steve Vai's Favored Nations label (The Dillengers - check out our CD 'Instromania'). All my guitar tracks were done thru Blues Jr's, I'm a Fender devotee from way back. Greg Koch is a good friend (and a complete lunatic), he did a gig with us in West Palm and was a complete gentleman, i.e. didn't completely bury me. We were applying skullduggery stereophonically. Hey Fender guys - hire me! Give me toys! ; )

Sorry about the big volume jump on the OD.. On the bandstand I actually use a modded Boss OD3 for solos, along with my regular pedalboard. I find that M3 plays really well with outboard effects (front end AND thru the fx loop), and I'm a bit more used to using my regular board on the fly rather than navigating thru the M3 w/the 4 button pedal. But at church I use the M3 by itself, and get by with the 4 button pedal pretty well.

One thing I notice for sure, the amp always needs to be tuned to different rooms. I usually end up tweaking the gain, treble and reverb. Gigged with it last night & hung a Sennheiser in front of it, it flat out killed! We played surf, rockabilly, soul, punk, bebop, R&B & old school country.. it delivered everything I needed. Used the Deluxe or SR patches & various pedals. Honestly, I had a few less than satisfactory gigs with it until I got it dialed in through on-the-job adjustments but I'm lovin' it now. Will I use it all the time? No. Will I use it for 75% of my club gigs? Damn skippy I will.

I found that out when I first got my Cyber-Twin. Preset created at home sounded different at the venue, so I would adjust on the 'fly' and save right at the gig.
