Howdy! New guy here, I play guitar for The Dillengers on Steve Vai's Favored Nations Records. We represent the Surfabilly Cowpunk Crimejazz Trailertrash branch of FN \m/

Mustang III Blackface Super Reverb settings:

Amp - '59 Bassman
Gain - 5.2
Vol - 9.7
Treb - 5.0
Mid - 7.9
Bass - 9.1
Reverb - 2.3
Sag - More
Bias - 50%
Gate - Mid
Cab - '65 Twin

Reverb - '65 Spring (leave on)
Level - 2.3
Decay - 1.0
Dwell - 4.2
Diff - 1.0
Tone - 9.9

OD - (leave off, basically TS with less mid honk)
Level - 4.0
Gain - 7.6
Low - 5.3
Mid - 4.4
Hi - 7.9

Mod Effect - Vibratone (leave off, SRV wiggler)
Level - 8.2
Rotor - 5.67
Depth - 3.1
FDBK - 6.2
Phase - 6.6

Tape Delay - Rockabilly slapback (leave off)
Level - 4.8
Time - 161 ms.
FDBK - 1.8
Wow - 4.4
Bright - 5.5

RE: leave on, leave off stuff - I run the reverb all the time, and use the OD, Vibratone & slapback as needed with the 4 button pedal. Let me know what you think - I know, a Bassman head thru Twin speakers?? But it sounds really Super Reverb-y to me. Interested in some feedback and tweaks. Thanks.

Finally uploaded the preset, look for "BF Super Reverb" without the quotes.

Really liking it! Has found a permanent home in my Mustang V as 'Super Reverb'

I have been really experimenting lately and found something that I just can't stop playing. My band does a lot of country/ classic rock material. Tell me what you think - good or bad

65 Princeton
Gain 4.0
Vol 8.5
Tre 5.1
mid 7.0
bass 3.6
sag less
bias 50%
gate off
cab 2x12C

OD
level 1.7
gain 10
low 4.4
mid 5.5
high 7.8

mono delay
level 1.9
time 394
fdbk 1.3
brite 5.5
atten 5.5

I think it covers all the bases - nice and clean with OD off and then I can jump to a Keith Urban lead with the OD on. Thanks for posting your settings as I haven't tried FUSE as of yet.

Freekzila, the Presence setting I used is 4.8.

Dj - Yeah man - nice. I brought the gain up to 5.0 and lowered the treble a bit. Also put the Sag on more - I like a spongy feel though. Good overall patch, saved it for sure. Thanks.

I've noticed that the sound of things change when you turn up.. probably just my ears, but playing louder makes me need to tweak some settings.

Thanks Rick. Can't say I know what a Super Reverb sounds like but I am enjoying your preset!

Hey rick, its a pretty good setting but it sounds kinda muddy and I don't particularly like what you did with the reverb. I changed the reverb, bias and sag and now its my 00 setting. Yup, thats what comes first when I switch it on.

The cab change was a really good thing, thanks alot for sharing.
Don't you think we should have a thread for settings.....I can't be bothered to hook up to fuse every time.

Would you mind sharing the changes you made? Thanks!!

What sounds perfect at home never fails to need adjustments on the bandstand. I gigged again with this amp last night, and went back and forth between my homemade SR & Deluxe settings all night.. I futzed around with them and finally got a good sound halfway thru the last set > 8 [

So true about changes that have to be made from home to stage. I always have to tweak things on every stage especially indoor vs outdoor. Also, I have a III and a V with the V cabinet. The settings I posted earlier where made with my V and I just tried it with my III yesterday and I had to tweak it a lot! III was much brighter and the OD gain was much harsher before I adjusted. The amps play through different speakers so it makes sense - thought it was pretty interesting though

DJ, I'll try & upload it tonight. Appreciate the feedback guys. I want to go back & tweak both the Super Reverb & Deluxe, I've been reading online that the Sag needs to be backed all the way off & then experiment with the Bias to really get good tube-like response. Will check in after work.

Hey Rick, I like experimenting with different amp/cab combos. One of my favorites is the 57 Deluxe with a Champ cab. You should give it a try and see what you think!

BTW, DJstang, I dig your Princeton settings too.

JKHC, I went back & you're right. Fresh ears are a good thing. Cleaned it up some like you did, much better. Hey DJ, I started a new thread with my Deluxe Reverb settings.

Hi Rick

Finally got round to putting on your preset.
With my limited knowledge I set my M1 and I'm well impressed.

Thanks

Play on
