I'm currently a Vox owner but thinking about getting a Mustang ii, and I'm intrigued by the idea of sharing patches online mentioned here. Do people actually share downloadable settings for various songs and effects online? If so, where would I look to see what kind of things are available?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Yes, I have downloaded MANY presets. The technolegy is fantastic. Besides that, the amp/software is extremely adjustable when hooked to a computer. The Fuse presets are only available to registered Mustang/Fuse owners. I have a Mustang 1, and it is an incredible piece of equipment.

I just got a mustang 1 and you wont regret your purchase. I have not downloaded fuse yet (working as I type- only 2 hours left to go- man I hate not having high speed)anywho- I got my M1 from Guitarcenter for only $87 shipped to my door! I've played it for a couple hours and I'm amazed at what is offered!

I have the mustang I and V and i do like the tones i get from these amps, clean,OD and high gain tones but i have my uncles mustang II at my house,he is not a tech guy and i am doing a firmware update and adding some new user preset tones for him but if you like high gain metal metal tones stay away from the mustang II,it just does not sound that good to me,i compared it to my MI and MV,there is just something missing in the MII with the high gain models and it sounds too thin in my opinion,my MI sounds better and the MV just blows it out the door, that being said if you like the fender clean and overdrive type tones the mustang II sounds pretty good and i would recommend getting one.

Hey mps, I concur with the other posts here. I have a MII and absolutely love it!! Go to the Fender Fuse page and you can get an idea of the type of presets users can download and upload. Here's the link:

https://fuse.fender.com/

Click on the Mustang tab at the top and then click on the Mustang Presets tab. You won't need to log in.

Fender Fuse is the software that gives you the ability to download presets and load them on to your amp and computer. You can download as many presets and songs your computer's memory will allow you to hold. The amp modeling is superb! The Fender modeled amps sound great. I usually find myself massaging the Marshall amps a bit more though to my liking. You can dial in effects and amp settings as well using Fuse from your computer rather than just the amp itself, and it gives you more advanced options like bias control and reordering your effects. Overall it's the best $200 I've ever spent. The only drawback for me is it's one-button foot switch. The MIII-V have more versatile foot switches where you can turn effects on and off and switch between more presets. Good luck!
