Hello there,
I'm a first day owner of the Mustang 3 amp and though I haven't encountered this limitation anywhere, I've noticed that it's not possible to use 2 stomp box at once, for example place the compressor before the overdrive. Can someone confirm this?

If it's not possible right now to load 2 stomps at once, someone from Fender could tell if the amp digital system is powerful enough to achieve this usage pattern and if users can expect a firmware upgrade allowing this feature?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

It isn't currently possible, and there has been no indication from any of the Fender reps that post here that a future firmware upgrade will change this, so you are basically limited to one of each 'type' of effect.

Hey Guys,

This is something that has been suggested many times. It all depends on how far we're able to stretch the existing DSP power in the amp.

Can I just say Loren that I'm really impressed with your attentiveness to the forums and that even if you guys don't have a magic answer you'll at least give a sensible response/ acknowledgement to let folk know that you have 'heard them' and have things on your radar.

It's a real credit to Fender and gives customers/potential customers reassurance that you guys really care about the gear you bring out and your customers, and that you're not a 'non-caring faceless big corporation'.

I wish more manufacturers would take a leaf out of your book - keep up the good work guys!

Back to topic, for what it's worth, Fender isn't alone here - I can only select 1 pedal at a time on my Valvetronix AD120VTX, so I think 2 pedals would be a great option.

Rich :D

BTW Loren - slightly digressing I know, but any chance of an extension speaker out in the Mustang III? It was the single biggest reason I didn't keep my MIII

I love my MIII but I'd like to use a compressor and an overdrive as well, Then i could get rid of another pedal on my pedal board.
I play semi professionally a couple of times a week, every thing from country to AC/DC! I've been playing for 30 years and never thought I'd own a solid state amp. I was using a Rivera amp which is good but no where near as versatile as the MIII. I've tried other modeling units but none of them felt like a real amp until now. Good work Fender.
