Hi,
Anyone tried an Overdrive pedal in front of the MIII ?
Does the MIII respond to the picking nuances and valve-like
sounds ? .
Thinking of trying a Boss SD1 pedal for more options
with a broad range of clean presets.

I do not know how the boss SD1 would sound with your M3 but i use the behringer TO 800 tube overdrive pedal with my mustang V and it sounds very good with many of the fender clean amp models.

I am using a Hardwire CM-2 in front of my Mustang V and it is pretty decent...

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback fellas. Had an old Marshall Drivemaster pedal -
cleaned it up, sprayed the pots etc. and tried it.
Works well but is essentially a JCM800-in-a-box type sound.
Does'nt compliment the Fender clean sounds - it darkens the tone -
too "middish" - not transparent enough - much like the MS type
Basic Amps in the Mustang III - think I'll check out the ones suggested.
Thanks,
Jim
