Yes, that one button switch is the one to use.

Doesn't have to a Fender switch - pretty much any one-button on/off type switch will work.

Note that it won't allow you to go up/down through all the presets on the amp, only to switch between 2 presets that you have chosen in advance).

Two button/Four button switches can't be used with the MI and MII.

Well I followed your advice, bought the footswitch and now I could say for sure that it does not work for Mustang II amps.
Could I send you the bill?

The footswitch in your link is model 099.4049.000 NOT 099.4042.000!!

(I bought it too, after the lost of my money buying the wrong model).

The model 099.4042.000 that I was asking for information DID NOT FIT FOR MUSTANG II

Almost any 1 button latching footswitch with no LED will work. It's important that it doesn't have an LED and that it latches.

Why does the LED interfere with it? I am trying to get a similar(channel switching) footswitch to work.

Yes! I notice, that is why the model 099 4052 000 did not fit.
Thank Loren.

I notice that the Foot Switch 099 4052 000 got a internal circuit I think it is a digital Switch. The other one is simple one, just the switch and a cord conected direct to it.

Yea, I opened my switch up also. I am planning on modifying it to work. All the components are there, but due to the circutry don't work. Just curious what the LED had to do with it.

I did the same thing and bought a cheap latching footswitch with a LED.
If you bridge the circuit for the LED so it just works as a simple switch it should be fine. Mine works OK now.

The footswitch with an LED will not work with an amp that does not have voltage to power the LED. An LED is like a electronic switch. When voltage goes to the LED and the LED lights up, it completes the circuit and allows the switch to operate the functions. If there is no voltage to power the LED, the circuit is open and will not allow switching. If you make a connection between the two LED leads you will bypass the LED and the switch will become useable to switch functions. I hope this helps. Does anyone have any footswitch wiring layouts or schematics they can send me for the Fender switches. I am always being asked by friends to build them footswitches.

I use my old Marshall Guv'nor Pedal.
http://www.blamepro.com/marguvnr.htm

the cable is plugged in the output of the pedal and in the FTSW...

Caution Remove the battery and do not connect the adapter...

Looks cool and works well. :D

Try with other pedals because you will not need them any more.
