Hi! I have a problem with the micro usb with the fender mustang II. The other night it happened to me that the usb moved or pull it from the plate and lose the connection, but without it is no longer the same . I mean, it's really good amp, love it and I like the sound , especially fuse software . I will try to take him to service at local store or attach a warranty on it ? I hope that they will be able to fix it. I really need usb..

Unhappily, you are not the first person here with this problem, and certainly not likely to be the last until the USB port on all Mustangs is either attached to the amp chassis or, better yet, replaced with a similarly attached and more robust standard sized USB socket.

I only connect my MIII via USB when absolutely necessary, and even then I get nervous.

Certainly a warranty issue, and a pretty frustrating thing to potentially lose your amp over for a month or more when it could so easily be fixed in the manufacturing stage.

Thanks for your reply. Although the mustang III has an LCD display, it is so much easier to navigate and has more presets, and is not really necessary to be connected to the PC. While the Mustang II it is virtually impossible because there are fewer presets. but all in all, still a good amp. We will see what they say in the service ..

Sorry to hear about your Mustang. Micro USB is crap. It breaks far too easily on most devices it's used on. Come on Fender, even if it increases the price by $50.00 the Mustangs are worth it, especially to those who rely on their amps for gigging.

O.

The USB, line in and headphone jacks all look weak to me. On equipment like this (this design is not unique among electronic equipment) you need to provide strain relief. On the mustang amp, I just knot the cable around the carrying handle with some slack for strain relief. That should mitigate most disasters.
