Hello! I´m writing from Venezuela. I´m new to this forum, but have been using the Mustang I since early this year (no need to say I like it very much!).

My question is if any one-button footswitch will work with my amp, or do I have to buy Fender´s? I´m no expert here, so that´s why I am asking. For what I´ve read, seems like any footswitch will do, but wanted to make sure first.

So that´s it, I appreciate any help on this matter.

Thanks a lot!!

Sabas.

Searching around found a working answer from user Depepat:

"Any single button, on/off type footswitch will work with the Mustang I and II amps, allowing you to change between two pre-selected presets (but that's all - you have to choose and set the two presets to be switched in advance, so you can't go up and down through all the presets or anything more complicated). So, for example, if you were playing live, you could have one preset for rhythm playing, and switch to another for lead.

I had that same Boss footswitch - couldn't get a Fender one - with my MII and it worked fine."

So my question is answered.

Sabas.
