:!: I have been thinking about the issue of the top controls and lack of display on the Mustang 1/2 and bronco amps. An LCD display which could plug into the USB port on the amp would be the perfect add on. It could allow you to see EXACTLY the name of the preset you are using for the #9-24 settings. Could also make tuning easier. Would be a great add on, IMHO, and I think it would sell well.

What do you think?

Hey LowThudd,

Not a bad suggestion. Have you used Fender FUSE yet? A cheap computer and an internet connection will get you all of that plus more.

Yes, I love Fuse. I would just like something more portable. I think it could be a good seller.

Hey Loren,
how about a USB connected pedal that would allow you to access ALL of the Mustangs' banks and presets? Fender could really give Peavey's Vyper/Sanpera combo a run for its money - heck you'd leave them in the dust! I've posited this before on another thread.

I think this is a great idea but to me the logical thing would be to make a version of Fuse that would run on portable devices like the iPod/iPhone/IPad and even Android devices like phones and tablets. It doesn't have to be a full fledged version, maybe something smaller with a core set of features like the ability to change presets and play backing tracks. You could call it Fuse Lite or Mobile Fuse...

Agreed. If I could run it on my HTC Window mobile 6.5 phone, that would be very cool. Being a windows(of sorts) op system, it might actually be doable w/ the current software, and a few tweeks. Good idea. Storing/playing band tracs would be a breeze also.

Fuse on an iPhone/Pad/Touch is fine for practicing at home but a USB connected pedal board would be much more practical for gigging. I mean, any of those mobile devices will have to be on a stand on the stage so you can get to it quickly. But even then I think it'd have to be the iPad as the screen on the iPhone/touch is just too small.

I do wish Fender had used a sturdier USB connector on the Mustangs.
