All I know is that they have been playing the guitar instead of xbox or watching tv for the last few days, so it seems like a good investment. I have to spend some more time with the amp figuring out all of the things it can do.

I'd recomend starting off with a new setting. A supersonic, twin reverb or something. Starting from scratch, with no effects added makes these amps really great to learn on. Effects can always be added to the new preset, as desired. And it is much more satisfying, as well as educational for new players, to creat the sought after sound yourself.

I REALLY wish the Mustang had been available 20+ years ago when I started playing. The early eighties Frontman I started on convinced me to take up Bass. lol.

My father set up the amp and guitar for them (he taught guitar for 30 years and is teaching both of them) and i think that is what he did. Its a cool little amp, so far so good.

Hello,

Great choice of amp! I bought an MII this last March, I really like it, lots of different tones to be had with my Tele.

I'm 48, this amp is great for practice and jam sessions!
