A few users seem to be connecting their multi-effects pedals straight into the aux port of the Mustang I/II amp, using a 1/4-Inch Mono Female to 1/8-Inch Stereo Male adapter. so i have a few questions.

1. are there any specific specs for the adapter that I should look for?
2. and would I be compromising sound quality in any way by doing this?

I was thinking of using the Monster AI STUDIOLINK iStudioLink 1/4-Inch Mono Female to 1/8-Inch Stereo Male Instrument Interconnect Cable, does anyone know if this particular product works better than just a plain ol' radioshack 1/4-Inch Mono Female to 1/8-Inch Stereo Male adapter?

Hey decihz,

I wouldn't use a mono cable for that. There's stereo info coming from your FX box and the AUX in on the Mustang is stereo as well. Does you MFX unit have stereo out's?

Also, you may not have to spend the dough on a Monster cable. Decent cables can be had for less money.
