Hey guys: I was wondering something. I have Presonus recording software. It is the best and easiest recording software I have ever used.
A few days ago I purchased a Mustang III amp. I love it!! But I was wondering if I could somehow incorporate the Fuse software to run with my Presonus software. I have the Guitar rig freeware and after investing $300-$400 into the recording software, I'm not up for putting another $150 into the guitar rig software. I just loaded the Fuse on my pooter. It shows up in my Presonus when I load it but tells me it failes to actually integrate. So my question really is: Is the Fuse only for interaction with the amp or can I use it with my current recording software?
I am not going to purchase the recording software that came with the amp. It's just not sensable. I have a great multitrack recording system that I have invested heavily in and I would be crazy to change that.
I guess another question would be that I have a Gdec amp also. For a short time I used ot as a "preamp" when recording. However...I found it better just to rin direct and use Guitar Rig. Is the Mastang III a better tool for this job? I find that the signal is just so muddled coming from the Gdec. I could not get a high enough quality sterio signal to make high quality recordings.
Thanks guys: M. William

The Fuse software is not a VST plug-in - it can't be 'integrated' directly with your DAW software in that way.

If you want a Fender-gear-based VST plug-in that will run 'inside' your Presonus software, try installing the "Amplitude Fender" 'Lite' software that should have come with your amp.

It includes modelling of some of the same Fender gear as the Fuse programme (the full version, which could be bought as an upgrade from the 'lite' version, offers much more).

Hey Mark,

Fender FUSE is only an editor/librarian for the Mustangs. It will not integrate in any way with any DAW or any other software. You can, however, use Fender FUSE to create/tweak amp settings while recording to your DAW.

Thanks!! I appreciate the answers folks. I have the Fender Amplitude on my system but have not checked it out just yet. But I figured that it would work with the Presonus. I've just been too lazy and busy (more the first) to go up and register amplitude. I'll check it out and if the price and the features beat Guitar Rig I'll put the money into it. It's just that I've put so much cash into this recording thing in such a short time with all the midi, drum trax, and friggin time it takes to learn all this stuff. But I have to admit....its worth every dime and second of time. But I am after all just a musician. That should explain the money situation.

Once again: thanks
