Okay guys and gals, I'm looking for a preset to use as the base for building a good 70's country rock, Marshall Tucker sound. I'm going to use this for songs like "Fire on the Mountain" or " Heard it in a Love Song". Any suggestions?

Start with a 70's Marshall preset. They used a Les Paul for the lead and a Fender Strat did most of the rhythm work I believe.

Thanks and you think a 70's Marshall for the amp, huh? I'll give it a try and see what comes of it. I'm on a Strat for rhythm but also for the lead so it will take some tinkering

George McCorkle played a Gibson ES-347 which he endorsed for Gibson. I have one and got to meet him at a show I was working when he was with the Renegades of Southern Rock band. We talked about the model and how he wished he still had one. A few weeks later spotted an original ad for the ES-347 (inside back cover of Guitar Player) with him in it. I emailed him, we had exchanged addresses, and told him about it. He emailed back thanks that he had gotten it. A couple of months later read he passed away. Really nice guy, great rhythm and lead which he didn't get to play much with MTB.
