I've moved some stuff around and added some from the library on line to my Mustang III. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what but when I tried to back up the amp the status line goes half way across and stops. I open the main menu, went to the utilities, selected amp back up and entered a date to ID the back up and hit back up . . . and yes the amp is connected. I've done it twice just to make sure and its happened both times . . . what gives?

Wouldn't know how to help you - but it happens to me every time I try to do it as well :? Maybe a problem with FUSE or something? Oh and I have Mustang IV, so it's not limited to only IIIs

I've only tried it once when I first got the Mustang 1 and it also froze halfway through. No other problems with Fuse that I notice.

it was at least two version of Fuse ago though so I suppose I should try again.

I'm not sure if it's a problem or not. I went exploring a little bit and found a "back up" file in my Fender folder where I keep all my Mustang stuff. I looked inside and found three back ups, they had some numerical title I believe at least one may be the date of the back up. I do have a further question on this back up issue, I understand that we can save a back up as say "Rock" or "Country". I'm curious how one would go about loading a given back up as no instruction can be found. I would be cool to have a Genre set up but i need to figure out how to load and unload such a beast.

The numerical names of the sub-folders in the ...\FUSE\Backups folder use the following naming convention:

YEAR(underscore)MONTH#(underscore)DAY#(underscore)HOUR(underscore)MINUTES(underscore)SECONDS

I documented some other facts about the files you find in those folders in this thread:

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=53273

ischenitte turned around and used the information there to create Horse Tamer, a program that lets you manipulate presets via drag and drop means to easily create custom backup sets which you can then use FUSE's Restore feature to set up your Mustang for different venues you may attend. Horse Tamer can be found here:
