Hey All,

Would be interested to get some feedback from any gigging muso's that have been using the 3, 4 or 5 amps for regular gigging and practice for at least 6months or there-abouts. I know these amps haven't been around much longer than this, but it would be good to get some feedback on how well they hold up, gig after gig.

This would be especially usefull to those players who are now contemplating buying one of these amps, after the rest of us keep singing their praises.

I can only speak for myself of course..I have the IV model. I've had it since Feb, of this year..so what 6 months now I think :o I've been playing it daily at home and weekly at band practice and gigging it with it since the beginning of Summer and no problems at all.

Time will tell all things about these treats soon enough
 :D

Mustang III Amp

My own experiences have been positive over the past four months. I play rhythm guitar in a five piece band, mainly rock / pop 60's to current style music. We play some private functions / indoors and outdoors and small pubs / bars. We play about 1 to 2 nights a month, with a busier schedule from July through October.

My biggest concern is the covering / material. I take care in loading and unloading my gear, but have created a few pulls, or tears in the plastic like covering from movement scrapes. It seems to be resistant to bumps or surface dings, but an uneven or raised surface that pokes through the material unnoticed, when moved pulls apart the vinyl like material. I am unsure how I would repair a larger tear.

A positive that I have just started using is sending the FX Send to a Direct Box, then XLR out to the board and out of the direct box to a small, personal monitor. This has made hearing my amp at outside gigs or small bars much easier and I no longer have to fiddle with putting a mic on the amp.

Hey 8beggars,
been watching all your posts and I'm happy to hear your M4 is going great. I gotta say that even though my M3 has bad fizz I just cant see myself going back to a toob amp, The live gig I did with it last weekend had me smiling from ear to ear. :D and you just dont notice the fizz at all in a live setting.....The only thing is I like to mike up my amp for recording........I did a pile of research and everything pointed me to an Egnater Rebel 20, plugged into one side by side with M3.... my 65 deluxe patch destroyed it!!!....so... not sure what to do next  The M3 is pretty well perfect for my needs... I may try a 4 when my local store gets some in and maybe try another 3 if it's from a new shipment into Oz..... I have now tried 3 other M3 apart from mine and they all fizz the same.
Cheers!
