I was figuring out how to save the presets from my computer to my amp. However, doing faster than thinking, I saved to a preset that I didn't want to save it to. Does anyone know how I can return that preset to the origninal factory preset? I think I read how to return the entire amp to the factory presets, but I don't want to as I've change some of them to suit me.

I THINK that all (or at least some) of the Fender factory presets are available individually in the Fuse preset download area. You might be able to download the overwritten preset from there and then reload it to the amp.

With the Fuse software open. Click on the Community button at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the website where everyone posts their own presets including Fender default presets.

You will need to create an account. Make sure that you click on the tab at the top of the website for Mustang. All of the presets listed, will have the author's name beside them. Look for the Fender Fuse presets, you should find the one your after.

As a hint. With your amp connected to the computer, click on the "Media Library" button at the top right of the screen. Then click on the "Amp" button at the middle of the top, this will load all of the presets from the amp, into the Media Library list. From here you can select your presets and click on the "main Menu" button at the top left of the screen and select "Save Preset As". This will allow you to name the preset as it is, or rename it however you like and then save it to your computer in a backup directory.

You can do this with all of the Fender factory default presets or any other preset that you have downloaded into you Media Library. This way, you can over-write any or all of your amp presets as you need and then always put them back later, in either their original numbered location, or reorganize them however you like.

The Fuse software package is very useful and very powerful for editing to a much finer degree than just using the amp editing functions.

I think the factory presets are also on the disc that came with the amp.

rocksound

That 'switch amp on while holding exit process' resets ALL presets to factory settings, which means the OP would lose his own custom made ones.

He was looking for help with a process to just restore ONE accidently overwritten factory preset.
