Hey, when I connect my guitar amp to my laptop on Amplitube, I have a horrible fuzz/distortion when I play even where I change the amp preset on Amplitube. Any way I can fix this?

Are you using the Fender ASIO driver? I had the same problem until I installed the ASIO driver.

Hey LiamB,

Perhaps the noise you're referring to is caused by your buffer settings being set too low. Try raising the buffer slider on the ASIO setup window. Raising it too high will increase latency, so try to find the perfect balance.

Hello, sorry for the late reply! I have since found out that the amp I have doesn't seem to get on well with the program, so have downloaded Fender Fuse, which is amazing. Thank you anyway!

@LiamBrightman

The number 1 cause of problems with Amplitube is trying to use your computers sound card or on-board sound ... among other problems, many are not ASIO compatible. Amplitube is made to work best with an external audio interface.

The number 1 cause of low sound quality with Amplitube is trying to use your home stereo or computer speakers. Amplitube sounds best on powered studio monitors.

Fix those two things and spend time dialing in the huge number of variables the program offers ... and you'll be a happy Amplitube user!

BTW ... this is pretty much true for all sims.

If after everything everybody mentioned hasn't eliminated the noise, try a noise suppressor into the Mustang! Guitar>Noise Suppressor >Mustang input.

I'm using the Behringer NR 300, worked immediately out of the box on the lowest settings, and there's a ton of emf/emr within this apartment in the middle of a very wired city!!!

If there's noise reduction but still noise after the Behringer, you'll need better cables, or something's broken or defective!

Also, I gave up on using the Mustang USB recording feature, it's too noisy and there a too many limitations (you can't use other sound applications for once the Mustang takes control of the ASIO, completely). I'm recording via a TASCAM US 144 MK II, ultra silent, next to zero latency, but that's on this AMD 6-core PC. ...I didn't have much success with laptops, tried a few. It will take a vurrrry expensive laptop to get good recordings out of a laptop...power supply issues, integrated sound card issues, etc.!
