Hey folks,

I recently bought a fender mustang I. I really like the sounds and effects, but imitating a sound is very hard to me. So want to ask if somebody tried to imitate the voodoo child sound on the mustang. I found a fuse preset but it didn't sound like voodoo child:p

Please help me.

I had the same problem when I bought my Mustang IV a week ago - lots and lots of presets available on Fuse, but none of them quite cuts it, for me. Not that I wanted voodoo child-ish sound, but other sounds. My suggestion to you is, like I had to do, play with Fuse, try to imitate the sound yourself. It takes a lot of time (at least for me it took) to get the sound I was looking for, but I am more pleased with the result than from any online preset I found.
Also a suggestion - first use the amp you like and then start changing amp's cabs in 'Advanced amp settings' or something like that - it does wonders, just changing a cab..

Everybody's guitar & pickups are different. That's why starting with a preset and tweaking it in FUSE to suit you is the best way to get the sound you're looking for. You don't have to start from scratch, just find something close, and make it yours in FUSE!

Hi guys,

Since I've got holiday anyway, Im having plenty of time to try things like this. I tried to imitate the sound, and this is the result:

https://fuse.fender.com/mustang/preset. ... mi-hendrix

Please try it and tell me what you think:D

I think you would need Jimi's fingers too in order to copy the sound perfectly. Otherwise, be happy with 'close'.

Yeah, it's just the guitar sound you can try to copy, the rest is up to your fingers/play style wich is something you can't copy from somebody like Jimi Hendrix.
