Hi, since I haven't had the chance to crank up my Mustang 5 yet, does the "fizz" increase with the volume? Or does it stay the same, but the actual guitar signal overpowers the fizz at higher volumes? :mrgreen:

That's the way mine works, at regular volume the note drowns out the fizz. But obviously on some guys' amps, the fizz is so loud you hear it at volume.

Turns out it's a bunch of bad power supplies. It can be fixed. That's why the volume of the fizz is fixed. Power amp noise is a constant.

I may be completely on the wrong track, but if there is high-frequency electrical noise coming from the power supply, would a simple capacitor across the PSU's output do the trick?
