I've been having problems playing live using the Mustang 3. so I did some research on the speaker.
turns out the speaker pushs the highs and the lows but not the mids.
blues and classic rock is all about the mids.
this speaker is great for metal and very "light" sounding guitar music.but not so great for blues.
sooo I went in and and pushed the mids alot.
after that the "heavy " pre-sets started pushing a sound I'm more use to.
and after reading that Beck turns the bass off on his Marshalls ,,, I tryed turning down the bass on the pre-sets a bunch.
what happens is, playing the amp in you basement is not as "pretty" but, live you're getting a more "tube" like sound.
this lowers the "icepick "to the head sound.
I'm loving the sound !!!!! anybody else doing this???
