As some others have pointed out already, Valvetronix forums have a similar thread that's been going on for months as well. Most other modeling gear you will find same issues being discussed in their forums whether Line 6, Mustang, Vox, even AxeFX.

Seems the digital fizz/fuzz/artifacts/trailings are more the norm than the exception.

I'm starting to also believe this is more of a processor/processing issue that will not be fixed with firmware, maybe bad batches of chips or just plain cheap parts from China make it worse since it seems to be inconsistent across independent units. Would be interesting to know if they share same components/suppliers.

Have a Mustang I which is great for deployments (a step up from my Pocket Pod/Headphone setup) and was really looking forward to picking up a Mustang III when I return home - now I think I'll just keep enjoying my MI until it gets sorted out.

Was a bit disappointed in Fender's "official" response to say the least. Think they've acknowledged that for this "extremely affordable box" amplifier they aren't going to fix it. Perhaps we'll see the Mustang III+/IV+/V+ in the future for a "modest" price increase....much like the Vox lines are doing. Guess I'll wait (and save) for the 2.0 Mustang.

Play on....

I can guarantee you Vox will not respond with a similar lack of integrity and good faith when they address the issue.

Actually, from reading the thread @ Voxamps forums it seems Vox Support is also taking the "If I ignore it & refuse to acknowledge there is a problem, it will hopefully just go away" approach to their customers as well.

I'm almost thinking the Mustang II might be a good home option instead & save some $$$...just wish the amp had a better user interface for editing & storing (Like MIII) w/o being hooked up to Fuse - then I wouldn't need to memorize where I put my presets & what they were! My memory ain't what it used to be... :?
