make sure you put the knob right on the preset not in between, for this causes it to jump.

Agreed, & you should take it back and get another one. However, before doing so I recommend you try a factory re-set because sometimes this type of behaviour is down to a corrupt file-path and a 'reboot' (just like on a computer) can often resolve the problem.

I recently got a Mustang II and a few times this happened to me, however I noticed that the lead which I had curled under the amp handle in case it got pulled on, was running between two knobs and of course the slightest move changes the preset, so I moved the lead and it hasn't happened since, which may just be coincidence.

I also always leave the usb lead in the socket on the amp just to keep the dust out, no problems.

Anyone else experience this?

Yep, have happened few times with my Mustang II. Luckily this thing is still under warranty. Tried to ask about this earlier in the board but nobody was particularly interested.

It's not about anything that physically moves the knob. It's just that the amp suddenly changes the preset to another in whole another bank. Bugs me off. Don't want that to happen when playing live.

I have a Mustang 2 and this just started happening, two days in a row, With USB connected to my computer and after having just shut down FUSE. Not only does the preset jump to something else, but the parameters of the preset I'm on change!

Like you, I noticed that change in parameters too when the jump happened.
