I would like to see Fender add a sd slot or use the usb port currently on the mustangs so you can record your guitar to,this would be great for looping, recording your guitar riffs to on the fly(no more lost song ideas because you did not record your riff fast enough to another recording device)this just happened to me the other day and also for playing your backing tracks, there would be no need for you to hook up a external cd or mp3 player, just plug in your guitar and hit the record button on the amp.what do you mustangs guys think about a feature like this?

It's called the GDEC.

With the Mustang, Hooking up an iPod via aux is very easy as is plugging in a BossRC-3 looper pedal. In fact, you can load an mp3 track on the looper and overdub all day long.

No,you missed my point here,i'am saying the mustang would record like a digital recorder on to a sd card or usb thumb drive from the amp it self without a computer or any other external devices like the ipod or the boss rc-3 looper pedal hooked up to it,there would be no need to use the mustangs aux input for this purpose,do you now understand how this recording feature would work?

I think it's a great idea. It would be nice if one could increase or decrease the signal going out via the usb connection. At the moment, this isn't possible.

Yes I understand your point. I can't imagine that any recording capability built into an amp is going to have the level of features and control that you already have with external equipment. But having said that, no one imagined an iPhone or iPad or the internet for that matter before they were invented. :)

You still can not record on the fly with the mustang without a computer hooked up to it and i lost a lot of song ideas because of this, with the recording feature idea i have for the mustang you would be able to that.line 6 has the backtracker but it is not intergraded into any of there amps, fender could have this feature on there mustangs(for example the mustang III) costing 300.00 and up,it is just a matter of time before line 6 or some other amp modeling company comes out with this feature on there amps.
