I have saved presets I have created from the ground up to Fuse with no problems.
But, I have other presets that I have altered from the basic preset that I really like; for example, an overdriven Bassman sound that I'd like to save so I can transfer it to another Mustang amp if I get another amp.
I cannot see any way to do this! I know I am missing something - how can you save presets of this type to your computer?

Not sure I fully understand your question, given that you say you can already save your self made presets without difficulty. However, on the file menu in FUSE there is a save as option. Using that option you can save your newly-modified preset to the computer under a new name while still retaining the original preset that you started from, unaltered.

You could then use FUSE to transfer the new preset to another Mustang while also keeping the original unaltered file.

On my computer, presets stored on the computer are saved to Users/(name)/documents/Fender/FUSE/presets - I assume this is the default save location, but you could probably choose another if you wanted to.

Thanks - I had missed using Save As. If I started with a totally new preset - chose and amp, cab, etc. and saved it, it would appear in my Fuse preset file on my computer. The presets that were just altered versions of the stock presets weren't on my computer, only on my amp.

You can also view the Preset from the Amp tab in the Media Library. You can right-click it and select, "Get Preset from Amp" to save it to your computer.

It is a pity that some of this stuff isn't better explained (or in some cases explained at all !) in the Mustang/FUSE manuals. Even the so-called advanced manuals don't cover a lot of the necessary detailed file management information.

Some of the learning problems would be reduced if FUSE's library interface behaved more like a typical computer file manager, with features such as drag and drop etc.

Although much requested on these forums, these features have yet to appear in a FUSE update.
