Does anyone else get a weird sound when switching patches with the foot pedal? I have the mIV and it sounds terrible when switching channels. Anyone else?

I have a IV also and I don't have any issues when using my foot switches to change patches. You might want to try updating the firmware on your amp. It is also possible that it might be a bad pedal or cord. I'm using both the 4 and 2 button foot switches on mine.

I use the 4 & the 2 button switches too and both do it when switching channels. I thought I updated the firmware, but maybe it's even newer. I'll try that.

It's not the pedal.. it's the amp.... I thought it was the pedal switches at first... but when I changed patches using the knob on the amp.. it did the same thing.. especially switching from no effects to heavy effects.. kinda a bwoing sound...

If your just switching patches between songs.. then no worries... but when your switching 4-6 times in a song in a live gig.... well then it becomes unacceptable....

What is your freakin' deal man (or woman)?? Can't people get on a PUBLIC forum and exchange information without being harassed by you??????? Did someone make you a proxy moderator to squelch this chatter? I really doubt it. If you don't like what people are discussing...GET OUT!!! Simple as that. If it irritates you so badly that every thread gets a cutting response from you, then quit reading. That is your option.

Oh, by the way do you have a Mustang amp yet? You had said you want to buy one and you have tried 3 different 3s that didn't have the issue. Why didn't you buy? Put your money where your mouth is....."poney" up the money and buy one. If you called CS and they told you there wasn't an issue, then I guess there isn't one, so buy one already and leave the rest of these people alone.

My MIII does that too. I'll set up a patch for rhythm and a patch for lead then store them right next to each other so I can switch in the middle of a song. But when I make the switch... Boooiiiinnnng.

Right. And "reporting issue to Fender" does no good.

I'm with you, G57G. It is the amp and it happens on my MII as well. I don't think that a firmware update is going to fix this issue. I believe that Fender's modeling algorithm is really pushing the processor and it's having a tough time changing all the parameters between models. When I listen to each of the models, there's so much complexity in the sound that I've not heard in other modelers before - especially in the mildly overdriven sounds but even the clean sounds are complex sounding. To me this is where most modelers fall apart so for now, I'm willing to adjust my channel switching habits to accommodate the amp's limitations. For my needs it sounds too good for me to get hung up about a momentary quirk such as this. I'm sure it will improve in future models.

O.
