Hello
I bought a Mustang V head and I would like to plug into a Harley Benton Cab 2*12 with 2 celestion V30 in 16 Ohms...
There is no sound when I plug the 2 inputs in my 16 ohm cab in a stereo way ..
It works only with one output with 8ohm
it's a pity to be able to use only one output instead of the 2 ??
Is there any problem with the amp ??? Thomann tell me to reset the amp and try again is it usefull ?
Thanks a lot for help me

Stop! You could damage your Mustang V's power amp. It sounds like that Cab is not wired for stereo and you're short circuiting the outputs of the M-V. Typically Cabs are specifically marked if they're wired in stereo. If it is, then they might be wired incorrectly or just mislabeled. If you can, open it up and see if each set of speaker wires connects to its own jack. I suspect that this is not the case. It is more likely that both speakers are wired in series or parallel ( I can't remember Ohm's Law  ). Just because it has two connectors doesn't mean it can run in stereo. The second connector is there if you want to connect another cab. Most cabs are not wired for stereo but can be modified to be if you're handy with a soldering iron.

Then I think maybe because the M-V is a solid state amp, it may be pickier about speaker impedances. 16 Ohms may be too much resistance for it. Contact Fender about it and here's what they posted on this Forum:
Quote:
:::Important Notice for Fender® Mustang™ V Head Owners:::

Your Fender®Mustang™ V head requires completely independent connections to each 8 Ohm speaker load, which the stereo Fender® Mustang™ V cabinet offers. While it may be possible to run your Mustang™ V head with other speaker cabinet(s), FMIC offers no warranty that all cabinets will work.

Some stereo cabinets have the grounds common. The Mustang need each channel to have it's own ground.
My bet is that this is the problem.
I used 16ohm speakers with mine no problem, separate grounds though.

If that's the case, it might be something that a pair of wire cutters can fix.

if you have an amp that can suply 8 ohms and a cab that takes 16ohms you have more than enough power.

I bought a switching jack plate off of AvatarCabs, not knowing it had common grounds, After reading a similar thread like this I checked and sure enough, both grounds, left and right ohm out together.I can't use this for this amp without cutting the commonality.
