I am not sure either. I too am using Sonar and was not impresses with Ableton at all...too much latency. The only way I figured to work around my issue was to plug it in through my usual USB interface, which is my Boss ME 20. There has to be a a better solution than run it through another USB devise.

Did you install the ASIO drivers from the Mustang DVD? If not, than do, than open SONAR and chose the Mustang as a audio device.

My vintage single core AMD 3300+ PC crashes if I have more than 3 tracks running with plug-ins, with SONAR LE, but have Reaper, it fround the Mustang's ASIO driver and I could select it as a external audio device.

But, I also have a BOSS BR-800 and find it easier to input my Mustang into it, record, and than later, if needed, export the tracks to Reaper for adding soft-synths.

1. Install the Fender Universal ASIO driver

2. Go into Sonar's audio prefs and set it up to use ASIO instead of MME/DirectX and set the input device as Mustang Amp and the output device as whatever you want to use for output.
