I love this amp. Fizz, phooey, from finger picking to all out rock I am very happy. In the five months I have had this amp I have not touched my tube amp. No pedals, no multi effects, no tuners, just plug in, tweak, and its wired. My Gibson semi hollow is stoked.

That happens to be one of the guitar configurations the MIII LOVES. I have an Aslin-Dane clone of the above and get all manner of Beano-ey, Creamy upper-midrange Marshally overdrive deliciousness out of the III which I feel I've only scratched the surface of.

A tube amp is a good cigar. A Mustang is a lifelong adventure!

Just bought my m111 money well worth spent, my mates are blown away by the different ffects and how simple the amp is to operate.

Does this mean that you don't have the fizz problem or you don't care? I heard one customer complaining about a "fizz" and he put up a sound clip that I could barely notice. However, there are some out there that are way WAY worse. The fizz almost gets as loud as the note being played.

As for the fizz problem, I have not had this issue, but I do not try to find it either.

Then, if you actually have it and haven't looked for it, what you don't know can't hurt you. OK, kinda makes sense.

I still don't get this. You don't have to "look for it" it was the first thing that I heard when I used the amp. In fact, when practicing, my girlfriend, who isn't a musician, and didn't know about the problem at all, entered the room and the first thing she said was "what is that strange noise?" I'm glad that you don't have the sound, good for you.

I had no fizz on the Mustang III I had, which came with v1.5 software pre-loaded. I suspect this may be an issue on some amps but not others, & that it may have something to do with the software version.

Many are thinking it has to do with shielding, the LCD display, or power. Possibly a combo of all three. I have run mine on 1.5 and 1.6. Same problem.

I would take the amp back and have Fender fix it or replace it if is that bad. That is one great thing about the 5 year warranty and one of the major selling points for my MIV purchase.

The 5-year warranty is USA only. In the UK it's only 2-yrs.

Right, that's a bummer, that I don't understand. If my VT50 had a 2 year warranty it would be fixed, but Vox only has a 1 year warranty. So it's collecting dust.

The problem is that I have spoken to Fender, as well as many others, and the don't know how to fix it...yet. Which, to me sounds like a Firmware issue. Hardware would be an easy fix. Programming takes some time.

I feel for you. However, Fender should just replace it if they can't fix it. Especially since not all MIII owners have this issue.
