Hi all--new to the forum.

Just got a Mustang III and I'm lovin' it. Hope to take it out on a gig in the next few weeks.

I'm wondering if there is a way to adjust the tremolo function to offset the perceived volume drop when it's engaged. I know this is an inherent issue with tremolos because the volume is pulsing up and down, but I have a trem pedal with a volume knob that lets you slightly boost the volume when you use the pedal so the volume sounds the same as when the pedal is off. The amount of boost needed varies with the depth and speed of the trem.

If there isn't already a way to do this, it might be a good addition to the next Fuse software release.

Thanks!

Cor

Welcome to the Forum, Cormorant.

I don't have the Mustang III so its pedal assignments might be a bit different from my Mustang II. Are you able to activate the tremolo with the footswitch or is it assigned to a particular patch? If it's a specific patch, just increase its preset volume. Otherwise the MIII would have to be able to assign multiple effects to a footswitch so that you can use the tremolo and compressor together. Set the comp to a very low ratio and use its level to boost the overall volume. This of course will have to be done post gain so that you don't increase the preamp drive unnecessarily... unless you actually want a little more drive when the trem is on. I don't know if the MIII is capable of doing this. That's kind of Boss GT-8/10 territory.

I guess those are the two work-arounds--a separate patch or the compressor. I've decided to use the compressor with the level adjusted to compensate for the volume drop.

It would be nice if Fender would add a volume control to the tremolo pedal in the next release of the Fuse software.

Thanks for your suggestions, Orcatraz.

Hey Guys,

Your suggestion has been noted. It would be nice to be able to raise the volume of the tremolo effected signal.

I've been looking for a dedicate Trem pedal for my live rig and that, the volume knob, has become an important consideration. Would be wonderful to have on the Stang! BTW was playing around with the MIII Trems tonight and was really getting some lushes ones.
