Can someone please tell me how can i record from my mustang 1 to ableton. I have followed the steps from the dvd that i got. I can record the music into ableton but i cant play it back. Can any one point me in the right direction. Iv tried a few options stated in the forums such as using ASIO4all and stuff but does it actually work with laptops runing win 7 64 bit?. I tried to use audacity but the major latency is annoying even after adjusting it.

Many Thanks in Advance
Anu

I struggeled too. I'm not using a laptop but Win 7 64 bit.

I found this page from fender helpful:

http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... d-playback

I downloaded Fender's ASIO.

You have to get the settings in the ASIO right to get sound. When I did, it worked. For me the mustang had to be the input and only the output that I was using could be enabled.

Just make sure your ASIO sees your soundcard as an output. Seems like 100% of my problems were due to not having ASIO figured out. All the threads on this board should answer any questions.

I'm sold on ABLETON ! I was about to give up on FUSE until I downloaded the Johnny Marr preset and that was a game changed ... awesome tone and even if you don't prefer it teaches you that its all in the tweaking.

So you guys are right ! it does have to do with the ASIO i actually got it working for about 2 or 3 minutes yesterday where there was input and output but when i closed ableton and reopened it later, no go, had a cross against the output and said it was being used by another program. Its really frustrating that it just cant work!

Thanks for the help guys!

Hey Anu,

Make sure that no other program is using your audio card. This includes the OS. You may have to disable system sounds in the Sound Control Panel.

When setting up ASIO. Make sure no other inputs are selected other than the Mustang. Also, make sure no other outputs besides your soundcard's outputs are selected.
