I have a Carvin Cobalt C750 acoustic electric guitar with a Fisman Matrix pickup and Prefix Plus-T electronics. I cannot get this guitar to play through my Mustang III amp. It works fine through my Behringer amp, so it is not the guitar or cord. Is there an incompatibility with the pickup/electronics combnation of the guitar and the Mustang III? Thanks for your help.

Hi mudguy46,

So, are you getting any signal or only a low signal? The amp has a standard impedance at the input. So if you are getting signal from an electric, you should get signal from an acoustic with a Fishman pick up that is working properly etc.

Perhaps you could clarify a bit more? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Hi, Alan.
When you say standard impedance at the input, what exactly would it be? If I remember correctly, most tube amps typically have 1 Mega Ohm input impedances. Is it the same for for the Mustangs? If so, it should work fairly well for passive piezo equipped guitars.
Thanks.

O.

Alan,
Thanks for the response. Further experimentation showed the problem to be a faulty jack connection in the guitar. Works fine through the amp now.

Hi Guys,

Glad to hear that the acoustic/electric is working. Also in regard to the actual impedance of the Fender Mustang guitar input, it is 1 mega ohm.

Best Regards,
