It's possible that that those speakers just de-emphasize the fizz freqs. But speakers can't make an amp-generated fizz disappear.

Update on MIII in for warranty.

So, I spoke with Cameron at Austin Amps about my MIII. He said Fender is processing my warranty claim and I should know something soon. He said that he could clearly hear the distortion and that my amp also picks up radio interference (in Austin). I asked him about repairs and was told that Fender told him to not attempt to repair the amp but to verify the problem and contact them.
I expect they will send a new amp but won't know for sure for a while longer. I called Fender but there were five people in the queue in front of me so I decided to try another time...

Mark

All these amps are officially in the "DO NOT REPAIR" classification. They just swap them out with a new one. However, in this case that may not be a solution.

Whining about a perceived problem is the only solution!

I just added clejmac and Twangster 210 to my "Foes" list in my profile. It is truly a pleasure to not see any of their like minded trollisms.

Just in case anyone here who has perceived these two as I have and is wondering about an easy way to zap them back to Guitar Center, just go to their profile pages and list them as foes. You will be glad you did.

As for them, I hope they do the same for me.

This is great now the general public can know the actual truth without the negative spin created by these two users.

Good move, bb! +1 to that! It's time for a little self-moderation if Fender isn't going to do it for us.

Does anyone know how to make a thread disappear? I'd love to get some wasted space back.

A properly functioning Mustang III does not fizz. If you amp does you should return it for replacement.

I "do" get your point about calling ( some have with no results )... and I too hate it when people are so free to complain on the internet but don't do anything else...but I don't really get your antagonistic...approach?? Why choose the approach of getting on others nerves.. when you clearly know ... your good idea of calling is not working..??

I can only hope.. everyone reading this thread who have the problem who has "not" called will call...

Edited... I sometimes forget kids are on this board to....

I actually never said call...if you listen to the initial sound clip that amp is defective and should be replaced. I just said have the amp replaced under warranty. I got attacked after that so now it's game on.

This should in no way be a 300+ post thread because one guys amp went bad after three months.

He would have had that amp replaced by now had he gone the warranty route. There have been other posters who don't even own the amp calling for a 50+ page thread.

My actual goal now is to render this thread meaningless so myself and the rest of the people here can see useful information.

I"m thinking it's more than one with the problem.... But agreed... all should go the warranty route... but on the other hand... I think most are hoping.. Fender will somehow fix this.. But I personally believe they won't. Just like the other big company's don't... Be it Peavey Vypyr series...... or Line 6 re pedals... or Boss.. re pedals....
