Hey Everybody --

Is the reverb setting on the Mustang I more adjustable through the FUSE software?

I'm *this* close to pulling the trigger on a Mustang I. The only thing stopping me is a concern about dialing in the reverb. I demoed one yesterday and it sounds great! The only thing that I didn't like was the reverb. It sounds well done, but even on the minimum settings, there is too much effect.

I am hoping that through the FUSE software there is a way to dial it back so that it just opens the sound up a bit without really being so in your face.

If you have screenshots of the reverb unit in FUSE (showing the available settings) or sound samples of the reverb in low settings that would help a lot.

Looking for this to be my "surprise" father's day present, so the sooner the answer the better, but any answer is appreciated.

Thanks!

This doesn't help with making sure it sounds the way you want but you can download fuse and see the available setings without buying anything. Fuse will launch and let you check it out without a mustang. There are lots of things to twiddle with. Lots of reverb choices and settings.

Thanks. Hopefully that will give me an idea of what might be possible. I'll download it and check it out.

If other users can post a sample of cleaner amp settings with reverb dialed back, I'd appreciate it. Doesn't need to be fancy.

Downloaded the software. Looks like the reverb module has a level control, which mean it's almost certain I can dial in the reverb level. It'd be nice to have confirmation, but I'll probably pick one up now.

Thanks johnjaypl.

yes, you can dial in reverb level in fuse. You can even adjust reverb/delay level directly on Mustang 1, by pressing EXIT button (if I remember correctly) and dialing rev/delay knob
Same with MOD effects like chorus and tremolo but you dial in MOD knob while holding the button.
It is described in user manual....

Thanks denisk. That was all the information I needed.

I spent some time playing with the reverb adjustment just using the mustang controls today and you can dial it all the way back if you want. The mustang adjustment seems to work just fine for this so you don't even need the computer connected to tweek reverb amount. Pressing exit and moving the control is pretty easy to do with one hand. If you can play a guitar you can do this!

Of course with the computer connected you have a lot more adjustments available.

Denisk and John are absolutely correct. You can adjust reverb level directly on the amp. You'll definitely want to try Fender FUSE, though.
