I posted this topic in the Fender Lounge, but also felt that the Mustang users may be interested in the topic....

I was just setting back playing with my 'beater' Strat and one of the '59 Bassman presets on my Mustang I amp, when my muse visited me with a riff I thought would be great for a track.

I powered up my BOSS BR-800 recorder, connected the Mustang, created a drum arrangement, and recorded the basic riff track. Than I plugged in my Squier P-Bass into the BR-800 and recorded a bass track, after that, I used the rotary guitar effect (slightly tweaked) in the BR-800 for a rhythm guitar track.

Than I decided, what the heck, lets upload it and hear some you players out there with it as a backing track, so, here it is 'Far East' http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10743396. I've already recorded a lead track, I'll upload later, don't wanna influence any players

Nice backer, Tony.

I came up with this on first listen. Recorded in one take so it's a bit rough and the lead is a little hot, but there it is.

Playing my Fender Squier '51 through a Mustang I with my customized Champ preset.

Wow, very cool! It sounds like you had fun :D .

Here's another one 'Black Ice' http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=7254585

I listen to NPR and during one of the breaks they played a very short 8 measure track, but didn't say who was the band. I keep a digital voice recorder in the car and hummed what I heard.

Later, I came home and recorded this track. If anyone recognize it please let me.

Thanks, Tony.

Yeah, those spur of the moment things are a lot of fun, you know how it is. It's even better when you have a chance to get something down on tape before you forget it!

That Black Ice thing is pretty cool. I'll see if I can come up with something for it.

Dude, that is smokin! :!: :!:

Fits the high energy of that backer perfectly. 8)

I checked out your website and some of your videos with your band. You guys are doing some serious blues!
