I'd posted on this thread - http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=57055&sid=7b545e6f3515383276a5bf5a6d5b867e - about using the Aux input for an acoustic preamp such as my Fishman Aura.
I just tried it and here's what I found;

1) It works and might work well enough with some EQ tweaking on your acoustic preamp of choice.
2) It's bone dry, of course, so your preamp will also have to provide any effects like reverb or chorus and some compression will probably be a good idea to keep from overloading the input.
3) You'll need a cable with a stereo mini plug to 1/4" mono plug.
4) If you like an acoustic guitar sound with lots of high frequency "sheen", you may not like this option. The high frequencies do drop a bit in the upper ranges - I would guess from 6 or 7k on up.
5) The Behringer ADI21, Zoom A2, Boss AD-3/5 might be good options for this.

I keep looking at the amp's front baffle and wonder if there might be a way to add a small tweeter connected to a switch at the back of the amp. That way you can turn the tweeter off when playing an electric guitar and turn it on for the acoustic-electric.

What do you guys think?

O.
