Hi all. Enjoying my new amp. Got 45 days to see if I will ultimately keep it. Updated to 1.6.4. Tap Tempo seems to not behave properly. If I tap twice only (on the amp) I get what I want. If I tap more than twice...like three times, the display will show the correct time for a brief moment, then immediately default to the maximum time...usually 1,100 milliseconds, or something like that. The manual implies that one should be able to tap more than twice. It is only when tapping once that the maximum time should be defaulted to. Do I have a dud? Does anyone else successfully tap more than twice? Thanks in advance....

Hey shaloha,

It sounds like your amp is functioning normally. The manual should have stated that button presses should be an even number.

It does say that tapping only once will result in the delay time being set to the maximum value. Tapping three times, to the amp, is the same thing as tapping once. It's waiting for another tap and when it doesn't get it, it assumes that the value you want is more than the maximum allowed.

Thanks Loren. Understood. Glad to hear my amp is functioning normally. Agree that manual could be clearer in that regard. Another unclear area regarding tap tempo and the two button footswitch is that if the two button footswitch is programmed for tap tempo mode, what does the "other" button do? I assume only one of the two buttons is needed for the taps...? Again, the manual is silent.

Thanks again for the sanity check...

If you cycle through the 2 button foot switch options in the utility menu, you will find that one option is "Stomp/Tap".

Thanks PITA. Haven't pulled the footswitch out of the box yet...or gotten too deep into the utility menu. So far, I'm really liking the amp...especially the weight!
