Only the Mustang IV & V are stereo (direct or through headphones)

Lesbeat is correct. All Mustang models operate in stereo when listening through headphones.

Well a speaker is mono so the effects have to get blended on the board at some point so both channels sound in the speaker. So theoretically if it's blended after the power section then you could split the signal and run stereo output jacks. and make the amp tru stereo output to two speakers.
