I like the Fender Mustang series, but my use would be for recording via USB and listing to it with headphones, what I'm wondering is:

Do all the Fender Mustang Amps 1-5 (I-V) sound the same with headphones and through USB to the computer?

I have used a Mustang III and liked it very much, but I'm thinking all I need may be the Mustang I since I will only use it with headphones and recording it through the USB jack? I don't care about the speaker.

Thank you,
Dave :)

Hey Dave,

The hi and low Mustang models feature pretty much the same DSP processing and USB hardware. I'd be surprised if you could tell the difference in a blind listening test.

I'm sure Loren already know this but .... this is why the dudes at my local store admitted that they basically cannot keep the Mustang 1's in stock .... they fly out the door. I explained to one of them what that Ableton software was like and they couldn't believe it.

My first practice amp in 1984 was $125 and it had reverb which was cool ... but to think that 30 years later you can buy something for $99 that blows it away ...... wow!
