Hello there! I just start playing acoustic guitar few weeks ago and realize that the guitar, that I got for free, is made from China so I had to get rid of it because someone told me that they're crappy guitar. So I've always wanted to get a Electric Guitar because all the greatest guitarist that plays Electric Guitar inspired me. So I decided to buy Electric Guitar. I went to this shop today to see what they got in store. I found the guitar that I really like, and it cost cheap too. The sound quality of that electric guitar sounds so much nice. It's called Squier by Fender so that's how I got here. The store clerk recommend me to get Mustang II because they have great sounds and they're perfect for beginner too. It's big and it's perfect. Well I'm starting to have my doubt right now about that Amplifier. I have absolutely no idea how to use that Amplifier. No experience with that amplifier at all, none! I should've bought a small cheap amplifier with default setting so I don't have to mess with the sound at all. But this amplifier, I kinda like it because that store clerk plays the guitar on it and it sounds so wonderful!!! That's why I bought it. God, they're very persuasive and show off aren't they? So I'm gonna stick with this Fender Mustang II. I need your help with it. I really do, I really want to use that amplifier. I want to know how to use it.
So I pop in the CD that came with the amplifier. Watch the video for a minute... well guess what? I don't understand what they're saying, part of me being hard of hearing, without captions. I need a captions or subtitle for that cd but I couldn't find an options. Oh well, I tried to read the manual but it still doesn't explain enough to me. I really need to find that full advanced manual but I couldn't find it. I want to know how to use the amplifier and what to do with it. I want to master that amplifier. So can anyone teach me? Is there a guide? Please... someone. I'm really desperate. I've spend hours and hours with that amplifier and it sounds so weird. I can't tell if the sound is default like the rest of basic amplifier or whatever. I guess I mess with it too much. I tried to figure out if there's some kind of reset for preset or something.

Thanks.

You need to try a few different presets. Take your amp and guitar back to the store and have the salesman show you a few things, I would also recommend guitar lessons. Lastly, don't listen to people that put products down just because there from china. The amp and guitar you just bought are made in china. You will master the amp and guitar but it will take time. I've been playing for 40+ years and I'm still learning.

This link may be a little easier to use:

http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... rs-manuals

You can restore the presets to factory settings by holding down the Exit button while powering the amp on.

Just think of the amp presets as sounds. Find one you like using the Preset knob and stick with it until you learn a bit more about tones and effects. You can disable any effects using the two FX knobs.

I also recommend some lessons.

Thanks, that actually help out a lot. I need some more advice on Mustang II. There's so many presets and I thought I had to use all of them, but I didn't even think about stick with one preset and learn more about it.
Honestly, I kinda need a book for dummies on Electric Guitar and Amplifier. Like, what this and that with explanation and detail.
Ex. Question: What's Pick-up? Answer: Blah blah.
Y'know? I asked the salesperson at the music shop for some kind of book for dummies but he said there isn't one in his shop. :/ I need to study some more about Electric Guitar and Amps.

Thanks for the advice on preset.

I just bought "The Complete Guitar Manual" after having borrowed it from the library.

http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Guitar-M ... 479&sr=1-1

I like the way it breaks the lessons into chunks, like learning from a real instructor. Lovely production, too, with profuse color illustration.
