Hi

I have had my Mustang II Amp almost 5 months, but have never updated the Firmware since I first got the Amp ( New ).
What advantages will I get if I update the Firmware to latest edition, as I read on the forums some people have difficult problems since their updating the Firmware.

Some help please on this .

regards

I updated my firmware shortly after getting my MIV. I really didn't experience any problems with the old firmware. Installing the new firmware was fairly easy and I have had no problems with it. From what little I know, Fender fixed some bugs that were in the old firmware. I really don't know what they were since I updated mine the day after I got it. All I can say is I love my Mustang! I know that some have had problems installing it, but all you have to do is reinstall if you have any problems.

The second thing I did after pulling my MIII out of the box about a month ago was update the firmware. (The first thing was a quick run thru of some of the presets) No difficulties for me what so ever.

I think one of the things they fixed was preset switching time, probably not an issue if you don't use the footswitch. And the obnoxious tail end distortion bug, which may or may not effect you. I'm sure there were other minor fixes.

I just like having the latest and greatest of what's available to me.

Thanks Guys

So there are very little changes to the latest Firmware updates, I am just concerned that things may go "Haywire" if I make Firmware changes, I use Windows Vista on computer.

regards

Thanks

Hey shadowhankron,

You shouldn't experience any issues with updating the firmware on your amp. If you haven't been prompted to automatically update then you probably have firmware version 1.5. If you haven't noticed any issues with the amp, you don't necessarily have to update to the latest version, though it is recommended.

Thank You Loren for your input, will this update make much better use to using the Mustang II, I have not had much chance to play the Amp lately, with other issues going on in my life, but thank you for your reply.

regards
