Bought the Mustang III at G.C. last weekend, ordered and received the four button footswitch to go along with the two button provided. For the life of me I can't figure out how to save programs on them. I'm using the two switch for up and down banking, but can't seem to program individual sounds on the four button. The downloaded manual explains what you can do with the footswitches, but not how. Any feedback out there would be appreciated! Thanks P.S. Tied into the computer but can't find anything of relevance.

In the amp's utility menu, you should find Quick Access (QA) slots 1 through 3, and there you can choose which presets to assign to each QA location. Then, in QA mode, the 4 button foot switch will allow you to bounce between any of the 3 QA presets.

Tapping the mode (leftmost) button on the foot switch will let you cycle through its modes: QA mode, up/down/bank mode, and effects on/off mode.

Pressing and holding the same mode button gets you to/from the tuner.

PITA

Hmm - between 3, or 6 presets ?

In other words -
Does that mean one preset per foot switch button, or each of the three buttons toggle between two chosen presets ? similar to the Mustang I, and II amp models.

Exactly - 3 presets. I have mine setup with several after each initial preset and then use my 2 button switch to toggle up or down to other presets. Since the amp defalts to 00, that is the preset that I use the most. I have some other presets from 01-09 that are similar, but a little different. I have another set from 10-19 and another from 20-29. Using both pedals makes it pretty easy to maneuver to the sound I need while playing live.

I also use presets in the 80-99 range. That means that it power up in the middle of all my presets.

Thanks jcwillow777, for the info.

Kind of like 3 banks of QA settings selected with the 4 button FS, then sequencing around the selected bank by using the 2 button FS - that's a nice solution.

Definitely informative finding how others work their amps.

I presently have a Mustang II, but I'm interested in grabbing an MIII as well.

I only have the 4 button switch.... but I don't use the 3 favourites option... I usually go into patch mode... ( green light ). I then separate my songs/patches into groups of 10 in order of my song lists for the night... I don't know if you know or not.. but selecting the right two buttons at the same time moves you up to the next 10th patch... in other words.. if I'm on patch 6 and I hit those two buttons together.. it moves me to patch 10.Similarly.. I can hit the left two buttons at the same time and go down to patch oo.... Really cool.. So once I've moved to patch 10. I can still move up and down patches with button 2 and 3......

So that's the way I try and organize some of my gigs... The pedal has a major latency problem though so for serious work... I've got a Boss-Me 70 plugged in...:)...

I mean the pedals... ok from song to song... but try and change from no effects to some in the middle of a song... and it gives a strange... "woing" sound... just not do-able for live gigs... :{

Musicians Friend matched and beat Sweetwater's price by $2 making my 4 button pedal only $37.99 which was a nice deal plus free shipping and no sales tax. I had it in 2 days.
