Hi Folks,

I’ve been looking at the Fender Mustang amps for something to play at low volumes when everyone in the house is sleeping. Not that I really need another amp. My main, big tube amp sounds great. But two listed features of the Mustangs that might push me over the edge are the pitch shifter and octaver. Something that I’ve wanted to get is a pitch shifter pedal or an octaver like the T Rex Octavius- with which you can have an octave up, down, or both blended at various levels.

I’m wondering if anyone has played with the octaver or pitch shifter in these amps. Are they any good? Easy to use? Flexible? Can you run them easily without having to hook the amp up to a computer? I won’t bother with connecting the amp to a computer- guitar playing should be fun and a break from work and computers. :-) In my searching around, I’ve not found much for comments on this topic except for a brief mention in the thread “tube amp sounds.” Thanks!
