I recommend this to anyone, me and my bro. were outside jamming with it cranked to about half way 5. He told me my strings sounded awesome, I told him they were old strings, I hadn't put the new ones on yet. We didn't even adjust the amp or anything, just plugged in and started jamm'n, with factory presets. That is how impressed we were with the Mustang IV, it sounded like a concert, just finished 2 hrs. of it. That's the Best! P.S. you really can't say anything about this amp, its all in the fingers and how much control you have in your instrument when playing live and loud! Later!

Every time I play my IV I can't believe how good it sounds. Absolutely amazing. I plugged some headphones into it today for the first time, WOW. Did that sound fantastic or what? Definitely NOT gonna get rid of this one.

Nice to hear you like the Mustang! But if you if you dig it using headphones, Amplitube 3 will blow your mind :D
I find Mustang V headphone sounds boring and not really stereo, distortions sound all the same and harsh, but that's just my opinion. The sound coming out from the heaphones hole is and should be very much different from the speaker output!!!!

I understand there are some stereo affects with the Mustang 4. I have one on the way. It has to be amazing with 2 12 inch and 150 w. Regards Horton

I think the Mustangs are very good modeling amps - but could I just comment on the 'stereo' thing - I have a Vox AD120VTX that is also stereo. The reality is that because the speakers are so close together you can't get any real stereo separation & you actually won't really hear any stereo effect unless you mike each speaker up through the PA, or listen via headphones.

The only set-up that will give you true stereo is the Mustang V head (as per the equivalent Vox Valvetronix AD120VTH head), with two 2x12 cabs separated apart (not stacked). Then you can really hear true stereo separation.

Sorry, don't mean to be negative about the stereo thing, but it's simply not going to be what you think in a 2x12 combo. Nothing wrong with the amps - just law of physics/acoustics.

Rich

Well my Mustang 4 made it to my house today. Along with my new telecaster USA made Nashville b bender in Black. I unpacked all and played around a little. It was a long day at work so I did a nap. Then I went back this evening and lit it up. This is the best amp I have ever had. I have a m2 m3 and the m4. I was happy with my M3 but as I talked to the owner of cream city misic I made the mistake of asking how mush for a M4. After all I was checking out with paypal for a 1500.00 b bender. He made me a offer I could not refuse. I said send me another invoice. Good company to deal with. This is a good amp for me I have no one living for miles around me. I took the laptop and I had already installed fuse for the M3. It connected right away to the M 4. I am glad I had time with fuse before today. I made a couple changes to my favorite per sets. I might call in to work tomorrow and tell the boss there is something wrong with my eye. I cant see coming in today. Regards Horton
