i just bought a mustang IV yesterday, I've been pretty lucky about things, i see a lot of little glitches people have, i had the peavey 75 Watt Vyper for 3yrs, and i have had the fender deluxe 185 ten yrs. ago. Fender has always been my favourite though. Never had a USB for my vyper , I just use to plug it in and play the hell out of it, The effects are nice to have, but you don't need all that stuff. I am extremely happy with my mustang, I like to sit outside and jam, so i'll probably be doing the same thing, JUST plug it in and play, I think its all in your talent and how much you've dedicated to your instrument. In your playing , it could be recognized how much practice you've put into it, so happy jamming , and i'm going to play the $@!& out of my Mustang IV.

If you are playing outside, I sure hope you are in a field in the middle of nowhere as the IV is LOUD :)

It's also heavier than I expected it to be, but I can get some really BIG and FAT sounds out of it so it's all swings and roundabouts.

Had mine since February and still loving it.....

I'm absolutely lovin' my IV, and I do love all of the FXs in it. I'm a tube guy through and through, but I need a good SS for work. I teach elementary music. The IV is great for that. Fat, full sounds, clean and dirty, and I don't have to wait for tubes to warm up. 30 1st grades would eat me alive while I waited for the tubes to warm up. I'm at 2 elementary schools and I have a Vox AD30VT there. I'm really thinking of selling it and getting a III.

My IV replaced a Vox VT50 that died after a little over a year. I loved the VT50, but after it died and the warranty issues, basically no help after 1 year, it's Fender all the way for me. A 5 year warranty speaks volumes to me, plus the fact that it is a killer amp.
