Though I appreciate the internal effects in the Mustang V Head, I also like to use external pedals.

I have have a Marshall Tube combo and now the Mustang V. I like to use a Carbon Copy pedal and Equalizer with the Marshall with Gain and Volume at 5+/-.

I try to model the Marshall based off of the British 70's and I can get close while not looping in any other effects through the Mustang Head and Cab...but when I add the Carbon Copy pedal and/or the equalizer, I can not get the smooth sounds as I do with my Marshall. The CC which is analog, creates a tinny sound with little control to drive a warm delay mix effect.

Any thoughts how I can tweak the settings to get a smooth sound with the Carbon Copy and/or the Equalizer looped in? I appreciate any thoughts.
