Well, I was first looking at the g dec 3 30, then the Frontman 212r but it has no headphone jack, then i was leaning towards the mustang III. I have a 200 watt keyboard amps that is loud, but not really a guitar amp. I also have a digitech rp 100 modeling prossesor.I am able to hook the line out of my laptop to the rp100 and get the backing tracks on the amp to play along. I think I will just get the Frontman 212r. I can use the other amp when i need to use the headphones. Do any of you here have this amp and what is your opinion of it. Dollars are limited, so the frontman seems to be ideal for me. Any input would be appreciated.

I've never played through a Frontman 212r or a g-dec but i first picked up the MII and played around with it till i decided the MIII was more what i was after and still have it. My Dec 64 Princeton Reverb and my '87 Red Knob Twin are retired now.

You'll just have to go play with one or buy one somewhere that will let you get your $ back if you don't like it.

I've owned a 112 Frontman and now have a Mustang III. IMO there is no comparison. The Mustang is FAR superior in sound and feel.

Couldn't have said it better myself vintagevibe  If anyone is on the fence, consider this... The worst tone to come out of my Mustang III is better than the best tone to have ever come out of my Frontman 65... I know it sounds like a gross exaggeration but I'm being serious. Don't get me started on the Frontman...

If you are looking for something to put the modeler through the frontman will be fine. I used one for my X3L it worked great...on it own it is nothing special but as a platform to amp the modeler unit it is a good cheap option

Another good point. My HD500 and GT10 sound WAY better in the FX return of my Mustang III than my Yamaha and Fishman PA speakers.
