I was playing a bit Friday night and in the middle of playing, the volume dropped about 80% on the amp. One time I turned up and down the gain knob and it came back, but that didn't work the next time. It just seems to be intermittant and I can't seem to isolate the problem. I purchased this 3/15 from MF.
Any ideas or has anyone had this problem?
thx

Could be a software filepath glitch. Try resetting the amp back to factory default settings (but back up your custom patches first).

Hey Chokoguitar,

Are you using Fender FUSE or does this happen when the amp is being used alone? Also, do you have the latest version of the amp's firmware installed?

It sounds like what my Boss GT-6 does.

If I change patches, the setting from the previous patch is rarely the same as for the current patch. If the setting of the current patch is lower than the setting indicated by the hardware knob ... as soon as I move the knob ... the setting level drops to that specified in the current patch.

I wonder if you could be experiencing something similar.

Also, keep in mind that when you turn a knob, the value will jump to whatever that knob is set to. So, lets say you have a preset that has a gain setting of 5, if the knob is set to 1, turning the knob will bring the gain to 1 first, then you can set the gain where you want it.

Hey Art,

Hold down the EXIT button while powering the amp on to reset to factory settings. You may also want to try updating the firmware using Fender FUSE, even if you have the most current version installed already.
