Hey,
(I searched and couldnt find anything about these so please lay off the search first comments  )
I just bought a mustang 3, and am thinking about getting boss loop station. Does anyone know If I can put a loop station in the mustang fx loop and still have all the amp effects come through? I know usually you would want your fx in front of the loop station.
If the effects wont work with the loop station then Ill save my money or get another amp, but if they will Ill go buy one..
Thanks in advance..
also if anyone wants to throw their two cents in on the opinions between the rc-50 and the rc20/30, would be appreciated, thanks..

I'm not sure if this helps, but I have a Digitech GNX4 that has a built in recorder (among other functions). I have been using it as a looper by sending the FX out from my Mustang IV to the line in's of the GNX4. I then use the headphone out of the GNX4 as an input to the Mustang's AUX in.

I can also use the GNX4's drum machine, etc. and send it back through the Mustang.

I'm not familiar with the Boss loop station, but perhaps you can try it out this way. The Mustang 4 has a stereo fx loop, so I use a dual 1/4" cable to send the signal to the L and R inputs on the GNX4.

You will see other posts on this forum regarding using the Mustang fx out as psuedo direct out. It seems to work ok for this. The sound isn't exactly the same as you hear from the Mustang's speaker, but I think the results are satisfactory.

I have a/b 'ed the USB out against the fx out and they are similar in tone with some subtle differences. However, neither sound as good as the amp's speaker. The sound from the USB and fx out tends to be more "fuzzy" and not quite as clean.

Hope that helps.
