I was wondering if anyone on this forum has tried the Tech 21 stuff like the Tech 21 SansAmp GT2

Here's a link to this guy showing what it can do.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU1-Q4Fz9AY

What do you think of the sound from this piece compared to the Mustangs modeling?

Thanks!

I had (still have the liverpool, but don't use it) all the Character pedals. IMO, good but not as good as the Mustang.

The Character pedals eh? The SansAmp GT2 isn't one of them

Here's their product line

I wonder how the GT2 compares with the Mustangs?

How did you like the sounds on the link?

Here it is again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU1-Q4Fz9AY

Can the Mustangs sounds as good direct and unmiced?

Thanks!

I just took a quick listen to the youtube vid and while what the guy is doing is not my cup of tea, it sounded ok. You might want to do a google search using "sansamp gt2 vs character series" to get an idea about the character pedals.

Why don't you try out a behringer gdi21 v-tone analog amp modeler?it is the behringer clone of the sansamp gt2 at a fraction of the price,i have the gdi21 that i bought about 3 years ago for 30.00 new but i think the price might be higher now.it has good analog distortion and overdrive tones,i did not try it out yet with my mustang v but when i do i will let you know how it sounds compared to it.

I just got a chance to try out my behringer gdi21 today with my mustang v and line 6 spider 4x12 cab and it sounded real good!i liked the high gain mesa model on the gdi21 better then the one modeled on my mustang v,here are my settings both for the mustang v and the v-tone gdi21.mustang v: amp='65 deluxe reverb, master=4-5,gain=3.7,vol=6.7,treb=3.8,mid=5.4,bass=5.3,rev=0,sag=match,bias=0%,gate=max,cab=ss112. gdi21:drive=11:00,treble=3:30,bass=3:00,level=8:00,amp=calf,mod=hi gain, mic=clsic, gnd lift=off. note: my mustang v is hooked up to my line 6 spider 4x12 cab and my settings sound good with it but for anyone with the mustang 4x12 you may have to tweak my settings to sound good with the mustang v cab if you have one, also the level control on the behringer gdi21 can get loud real fast, always start at 0 and raise the volume level to my suggested 8:00 position before any other higher levels are selected because you do not want to blow out your mustang amp or the cabinet speakers.
