For those following this thread, I brought to Fender's attention the dual pricing of the UCT-4 (for G-Dec) that sells for circa £37 street price, and the MIII 4-button (same pedal, different writing) that was selling for £60-70 street price.

I'm delighted with Fender's swift & pragmatic approach (see below), & impressed that they do take note of customer feedback - well done Fender! :D

I am still querying with them though why the 4-button is standard with the MV that is the same price, but not the MIII when both MIII & MV are aimed at gigging players. I'll keep y'all posted here.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I sent this onto our European managers and they have now adjusted the price of the Mustang footswitch. It has been decided to realign the price of the mustang footswitch to bring it in line with the ULT-4 so they are both set at a retail of £49.20. This may well be a little less when its sold in stores however that’s the new RRP inc vat.
Hope that clears things up a little for you.

Kind regards

Just to keep y'all posted I had a very fast and nice response to my E-mail from Fender UK who were sympathetic and appreciative of the points made. I've also updated them on the 'dual-pricing' issue. So it will be interesting to gain their further thoughts on all this once they've had an opportunity to discuss internally.

Rich

what pedal do you think i should get for surf sound Reverb or wah?

you should be able to hook up your tonelab to a laptop via midi and control fender fuse with:

bones midi converter (can convert midi to hotkeys)

and

autohotkey (can map mouseclicks on the screen x,y coords to a hotkey)

cool thing about that is that you would change the sound on the tonelab at the same time, and mix it via fx return or aux!!
